Saudi Arabia reacts to UAE-Israel peace deal

Saudi Arabia has refused to recognize Israel until an international peace agreement is reached with the Palestinians.

The first statement from Saudi Arabia came after an agreement was reached between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel.

Speaking to media in Germany, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said that Israel's unilateral actions on Jewish settlements are an obstacle to peace, adding that Saudi Arabia is bound by the agreement on the Arab peace plan based on peace.

Faisal bin Farhan said that Saudi Arabia had started the Arab peace agreement in 2002 to pave the way for relations with Israel, but now there can be no way for diplomatic relations with Israel until a peace agreement is reached with the Palestinians. Israel and Palestine are committed to peace.

On the other hand, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir says that the United Arab Emirates will not follow the lead in recognizing Israel.

Adil al-Jubeir says peace can only be achieved under international agreements with the Palestinians, and that relations are not possible until Israel recognizes the international peace agreements with the Palestinians and peace is established.

What is the Arab Peace Plan?
It should be noted that in 2002, the then Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah presented a peace plan in Beirut according to which the Arab countries were ready to recognize Israel, but the condition for this was that Israel should have its border in 1967. Take it back to the pre-war frontier.

It should be noted that in recent days, a peace agreement has been reached between the United Arab Emirates and Israel to establish bilateral relations, under which Israel will no longer integrate the Palestinian territories and the two countries will work out a roadmap for bilateral relations.

According to the agreement, the United States and the United Arab Emirates will work together to establish relations with Israel and other Muslim countries as well.

Pakistan has also ruled out the possibility of establishing relations with Israel until the Palestinians get their due.
