The Turkish president has converted another church museum into a mosque

The church was converted into a mosque in the 16th century and a museum in 1948
ANKARA: Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has announced that the historic Kariya Church Museum will be rebuilt after Aya Sofia.
According to the World News Agency, Turkish President Tayyip Erdoan has ordered the restoration of the historic Kariya Church Museum in Istanbul.
The thousand-year-old Kariya Church is located on the west bank of the Golden Horn in Istanbul. Just a month after the restoration of the Sofia building as a mosque, the Kariya Church Museum has also been ordered to be restored. The court ordered the restoration of the two historic buildings as mosques in November last year.
The Kariya Church was purchased in the 16th century and converted into a mosque, but in 1948 the historic building was turned into a museum, but now the museum is being converted into a mosque again.
It should be noted that President Tayyip Erdogan in his election campaign had promised to restore two important historical buildings of the country as mosques. Last month Aya Sofia and now Caria fulfilled their promise by converting the church into a mosque.
