Paris: The infamous French magazine Charlie Hebdo has announced the reprinting of blasphemous sketches of the Prophet of Islam.
According to the international news agency, the trial of 13 men and women accused of providing weapons to the attackers of the magazine in 2015 is going to start in France on Wednesday. The magazine has once again announced the publication of blasphemous sketches on the same occasion.
The reprint of the blasphemous sketches in the magazine was announced in the editorial. Citing sketches published five years ago with the editorial board, it is said that they have the status of history for us and history cannot be erased or rewritten.
It should be noted that the French magazine Charlie Hebdo first published the blasphemy of the Prophet of Islam in 2015, against which Muslims all over the world had expressed their grief and anger, as well as people of other religions. The act was condemned.
Five years ago, the magazine's building was attacked, killing 12 members of the editorial staff, including three assailants. The attackers, Sheriff and Saeed Kochi, claimed links to al-Qaeda.
Condemnation of Pakistan's publication of blasphemous sketches
Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said he strongly condemned the reprinting of blasphemous sketches in a French magazine. Such actions undermine religious harmony and peace on a global scale. The act of deliberately hurting the feelings of millions of Muslims cannot be called freedom of expression.
